I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NJ with a Master’s Degree from Rutgers University. During my career in various settings, I have provided counseling services to adolescents in middle school, high school, as well as adults in private practice. I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, and interpersonal challenges. Throughout my years in practice, I use various modalities centered on my clients’ individual needs.
As the daughter of a therapist, I didn’t realize the social and emotional skills needed to provide effective therapy were being instilled on daily basis. My siblings and I were taught to respect each other, communicate when angry and apologize when appropriate. As I became older, I realized that my mother had it all planned, even when I didn’t always understand her motives. I followed in her footsteps because she was resilient, compassionate, and helped my siblings and I learn the importance of restoration through our mistakes. We learned the value of connection, the importance of relationships, and finding a balance in the midst of chaos. Through every struggle and hardship, my mother was the “lighthouse” guiding the ship home and my father was the “anchor” that kept us grounded.
TAKE 2 counseling provides a place where individuals can feel safe to communicate, as they learn the importance of resiliency during their most challenging moments. All individuals are multi-dimensional and have their own unique story. I am looking forward to hearing yours.
